On February 14, 2007, the long-awaited Cadence Design System’s Building 10 got a well-deserved groundbreaking ceremony. Attended by San José’s Mayor Chuck Reed and other local dignitaries, the event celebrated the start of construction of the five-story, 208,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art R&D center at Cadence Design System’s corporate headquarters on Montague Expressway in San José.
Cadence engineers develop leading-edge design automation software and hardware used to create integrated circuits and electrical systems for the global electronics industry. U&R has been closely involved in the planning and design of the site for this landmark building for more than ten years. RMW is the architectural firm.
