Underwood & Rosenblum (U&R) is proud to have been involved in the design of the new Fremont Cadillac, Buick, GMC Dealership of Fremont, CA. Opened in July, 2013 this site design focuses on the latest green technology and sustainability features. Hydrocarbonabsorbing bioswales are placed strategically around the perimeter to maximize the sales area and beautify the lot. A decorative “Solar Tree” by Envision Solar, makes a dramatic combined statement of solar use and street art functionality. Fremont Cadillac, Buick, GMC will be the first to deploy the company’s Solar Tree array and generate approximately 33,000 kWh of clean renewable energy. Energy produced by the installation will go directly back to the dealership, reducing greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to an annual consumption of 2,500 gallons of gas.
