Our Projects
Here are some of our exciting projects across various industries
Luther Burbank Middle School
The Burbank Middle School project recently reached completion, providing temporary modular classrooms to support ongoing campus modernization efforts. U&R played a key role as civil engineer, ensuring the site was properly designed to accommodate the fixed dimensions of the portable buildings. The team developed grading, paving, and drainage plans while coordinating ADA-accessible pathways and efficient utility connections. By strategically aligning water, sewer, and other site infrastructure, U&R delivered a cost-effective solution that minimized unnecessary trenching and construction work. This project highlights the critical role of civil engineering in making modular classroom installations functional, efficient, and budget-conscious for school districts.
Los Altos City Hall Expansion
This public building project involved the thoughtful modernization and re-purposing of a historic community facility. The original Los Altos Youth Center (LAYC) building constructed in the 1950’s was remodeled to house expanded City Hall services.
U&R served as the civil engineer, addressing ADA accessibility upgrades and coordinating fire water service improvements. The team worked closely with the architect, Co+Ed Architecture of San Jose, to preserve the building’s legacy while enhancing safety and functionality. This project demonstrates how targeted civil engineering solutions can help cities revitalize aging infrastructure in a cost-effective and community-focused way.
